1. Click the “Therapeutic Classes, Other” tab.
2. Select “Smoking Cessation”, and click button “Begin Look-Up”
3. From here, select your health care plan to see what medications may be covered under your plan!



Medications covered by Medicaid:

  • Nicotine Patches and Nicotine Gum: Need a prescription order saying “over-the-counter”.
  • Chantix® (Varenicline) and Zyban
    ®
     (Bupropion): Prescription needed.
  • Nicotine Inhalers and Nicotine Nasal Sprays: Prescription needed.

How much medication coverage can I get?

You may be able to receive up to a 90 day supply of stop smoking medication twice a year.
